Can I Recycle This?

Privacy

Last updated August 11th, 2026. This site is operated by AESA Consulting, LLC, contactable at hello@canyourecycle.com.

In short: we set no cookies of our own and cannot identify you. Advertising is served by Google, which does set cookies, and you are asked before that happens where the law requires it.

What we collect directly

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no comment forms, and no newsletter.

Aggregate analytics record which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors arrive from. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores no identifier on your device, and does not track you across sites or over time. It cannot build a profile of you, and neither can we.

Our web host, Cloudflare, processes standard server request data such as IP address in order to deliver pages and defend against attacks. That is ordinary infrastructure logging rather than analytics, and it is not used to identify or profile visitors.

Advertising

This site carries advertising, which is what pays for it.

Advertising is served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your prior browsing. This happens through Google, not through us โ€” we do not receive or store the data it collects.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in your Google Ads settings at adssettings.google.com, and manage broader industry opt-outs through the Network Advertising Initiative and Your Online Choices.

Ads appear on item pages only. This page and the About page carry none.

Consent

Because our analytics are cookieless, the only thing on this site that needs your consent is advertising.

Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent choice before advertising cookies are set, as required by law and by Google's publisher policies. This is handled by Google's certified consent message, configured in AdSense under Privacy & messaging. You can reopen that message at any time using the privacy settings link it provides, and change your answer.

Residents of California and other US states with applicable privacy laws may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising through the same Google consent message, which presents a US-state notice where those laws apply. You can also opt out of personalised advertising directly at adssettings.google.com, and set a browser-level Global Privacy Control signal, which Google honours as an opt-out where required.

If you would rather ask us directly, email hello@canyourecycle.com and we will pass the request on. We hold no personal data of our own to delete โ€” there are no accounts and no mailing list โ€” so in practice these requests concern our advertising partner rather than us.

Outbound links

Item pages link to sources: trade associations, municipal programmes, published research. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we do not control them.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top.
